My Alexandra would eat oatmeal for breakfast every morning. I finally decided to start making my own...Thank god.
It was so so GOOD! I never knew how amazing a bowl of
oatmeal could be..
This is for my Ally!!
Vanilla, Cranberry and Apple Oatmeal for my Alexandra2 cps. oatmeal
2 cps. milk
2 tsp. Vanilla Paste or Vanilla Extracts
1/2
cp. Vanilla Sugar
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2
cp. Dried Cranberries
1 chopped apple
1. Add the milk, Vanilla, Vanilla Sugar, Cinnamon, Cranberries and Apples. Bring to a boil. Let Simmer for about 5 minutes. Add the oatmeal. Stir a minute or two.
2. Put in bowl and top with a little more milk per serving.
I really love oatmeal, and this looks like a great recipe! Such a great way to start the day!

ReplyDeleteI tried making my own oatmeal once and it came out bad. I need to try your recipe :). Question: is rolled oats the same as oatmeal (because thats what i have at home)?
ReplyDeleteI assume this is instant oats right? No way normal rolled oats would take 2 minutes! This looks like a really good recipe though, homemade oatmeal is so good and so much better for you than the bagged kind.

ReplyDeleteOatmeal is the bomb! Do you use the Steel Cut kind? It is the best. It has a nutty flavor and is slightly chewy! yum
